Reform of high school history curricula triggers debate in Taiwan

Adjustments of the wording in Taiwanese high school history text books such as adding the word “colonial” to terms referring to Japanese rule trigger debate in Taiwan. DPP accuses the current government of starting a major, conservative overhaul of the curricula and of trying to please the mainland Chinese government.
